God’s Good Pleasure
We often wonder where is God's justice when the innocent suffer or His mercy when tragedy strikes. But the Lord insists that He has no pleasure in the death of anyone. God's good will is that all would be saved and come to the knowledge of His Son!

    “Generous Beyond Belief”
A part of us expects justice from God. We think that fairness ought to reign- that each of us should get what we deserve. But this is a dead end. God does not give us what we deserve but acts with mercy and grace beyond belief!

Who is the Greatest in the Kingdom?
Forgiveness is filled with many questions. How often must I forgive? Is there a limit to forgiveness? The parable of the unmerciful servant teaches us that we should forgive as we have been forgiven.

    Building Relationships
Relationships are important. God did not create us to be alone but in relationships with others. Sin damages our relationships, with God and with others. Through His death and resurrection, Jesus forgives our sin and restores our relationship with God. The power of the cross also enables us to heal broken relationships with others.

    Overcoming Evil with Good
We live in a world marred by sin, death, and evil. Although we confront it every day, this very present evil will not overcome us. God's desire is for us to be saved and delivered by His Son, Jesus, so that we are enabled to love, to live, and to overcome evil with good.

    Built on the Rock
Peter confessed that Jesus is "the Messiah, the Son of the Living God." Jesus promised to build His church on this confession. This confession is central to our faith as individual Christians and vital in our worship as the gathered people of God. Today we consider what Jesus has called the church to do.

    You Have Great Faith
Jesus brought healing to the daughter of a Canaanite woman, a person seen as inferior by the Jews of that day. The love of Jesus broke down barriers and reached across divides. Today we are reminded that the love and mercy of God extends to ALL people."T160_20200816".

    Raised with Christ
Many in our world today do not believe in the resurrection of Jesus. For them, the stone remains in front of the tomb. But we who believe in the resurrection rejoice that Jesus conquered death and the grave for us. In Him, we have new hope and new life!

Strengthened on the Journey by Christ
Today there are many ideas and philosophies about God and heaven. While some believe that "all roads lead to heaven," Scripture tells us there is only one God and one way to heaven. St. Paul encourages us to "avoid hollow and deceptive philosophies" and instead to "live your lives in Christ."

    We Are Not Perfect
Billions of advertising dollars are spent each year telling us how to make our lives more perfect and enjoyable. The simple fact is - no one is perfect. We all sin and fall short of God's expectations. Thankfully, God sent His Son to save us from sin and cover us in His righteousness. By faith in Jesus, we are holy and perfect in God's eyes.
