Today we consider the Transfiguration of our Lord Jesus. The sight on the Mount of Transfiguration is glorious—but for us and for our salvation, Jesus saw beyond the glory of His transfiguration on the mountain to the glory of the cross, where He would complete God’s saving work on our behalf. As we sing our hymns of praise, we find our reason for glory in God’s grace-filled action for us.
