Raised with Christ
Many in our world today do not believe in the resurrection of Jesus. For them, the stone remains in front of the tomb. But we who believe in the resurrection rejoice that Jesus conquered death and the grave for us. In Him, we have new hope and new life!

Strengthened on the Journey by Christ
Today there are many ideas and philosophies about God and heaven. While some believe that "all roads lead to heaven," Scripture tells us there is only one God and one way to heaven. St. Paul encourages us to "avoid hollow and deceptive philosophies" and instead to "live your lives in Christ."

    We Are Not Perfect
Billions of advertising dollars are spent each year telling us how to make our lives more perfect and enjoyable. The simple fact is - no one is perfect. We all sin and fall short of God's expectations. Thankfully, God sent His Son to save us from sin and cover us in His righteousness. By faith in Jesus, we are holy and perfect in God's eyes.

    God’s Plan for Life’s Journey
Every time humans try to improve on God's plans, they cause more problems than they solve. When false teachers tried to change God's perfect plan of salvation in Christ Jesus, Paul encouraged to Colossians to stick to the plan! Today we rejoice in God's plan; those who were once spiritually dead are now alive in Christ!

    The Lord Who Gives Rest
We all know what it is to work.  Our lives involve work from beginning to end.  Jesus offers rest to those who labor and are heavy laden, not just rest from our daily work, but rest for our souls.  In the forgiveness for sin that Jesus won by His death and resurrection, we receive the peace and rest we need the most.

The Power of a Cold Cup of Water
The first disciples gave up everything to follow Jesus and take the Gospel to the ends of the earth.  What about us?  The Holy Spirit has brought us to faith and empowered us to live as disciples of Jesus.  Today we are reminded that sacrifice and hospitality are two of the marks of a disciple.

Proclaiming God’s Word to an Ungodly World
Jeremiah's message was not popular with the people and he spent most of his days running for his life.  As we uphold the Word of God as faithful and true today, we may often face persecution and ridicule from the unbelieving world.  We are encouraged to to stand firm because the Word of the Lord endures forever and our God will give us the victory in Christ Jesus!

    Good For What Ails You
Jesus had compassion on the crowds because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.  The ultimate issue for them and for us is sin - an inherited disease from which no one is exempt.  The Good News is that Jesus died and rose again so that forgiveness of sin and eternal life come to all who hear and believe the Gospel call.  Today we rejoice that Jesus is the cure for the sickness of sin!

    A Faith to Live By
It's important for us to have a solid foundation in the Christian faith.  Without that foundation, we're not able to live out our faith in the world.  On this Trinity Sunday, we're reminded of the basics of our Christian faith.  We worship one God in three Persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  "The Lord if God in heaven above and the earth below.  There is no other."

    The Water of Life
Today we hear the Word of God spoken to us that powerful, mighty Word through which the Holy Spirit creates and strengthens the gift of saving faith in us. This faith is like living water flowing through our entire being bringing the refreshment of the forgiveness of all of our sins and a new and godly purpose for the living of our days.
